An app that reminds you to pray your novena each day
Start a novena with Gianna and receive each day's prayer for nine days, with the day counted for you. Nearly 90 traditional novenas.

The hard part of a novena is day six. You start well, then a busy evening comes and you lose count. Gianna keeps the count and brings you the right prayer each day.
How it works
- Tell Gianna which novena: "Start the St Joseph novena for my father." You can also choose one under Prayer, Browse novenas.
- Each day, Gianna brings that day's prayer, Day 1 through Day 9, with your morning note or whenever you ask. It arrives on the web, as a phone notification, or on Telegram.
- After you pray, tell Gianna. If you miss a day, ask for the current prayer and carry on.
You can schedule a novena to begin on its customary date, such as nine days before a saint's feast. "Schedule the Immaculate Conception novena for its usual start date" sets it to begin on 29 November.
Which novenas
Gianna has nearly 90 novenas with full text, including the Sacred Heart, Divine Mercy, the Holy Spirit, St Joseph, St Jude, St Thérèse, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St Gerard Majella, and St Gianna Beretta Molla. Each text is traditional or in the public domain, and its source is recorded. Gianna does not write or alter the prayers.
Ask "what novenas do you offer?" or "is there a novena for an expectant mother?" to find one.
Praying for someone
Attach an intention when you start, or later: "Offer my St Joseph novena for Tom's recovery." The intention appears with each day's prayer and goes on your prayer list.
Praying together
Send an invitation link to someone outside your household. They start the same novena on your dates with their own Gianna account. Each of you sees the others' first names and how many days they have prayed. Intentions stay private.
Several at once
You can pray more than one novena at a time. Gianna keeps each count separately.
Price and the early-bird offer
The early-bird offer gives half price for your first year. Standard is $5 a month or $40 a year, normally $10 or $80. Pro, with voice notes and photo reading, is $10 a month or $80 a year, normally $20 or $160. One subscription covers the household, the first seven days are free, and nothing is charged during the trial.
