Welcome to Gianna. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Gianna, a Catholic household assistant you reach over Telegram and a web app at gianna.chat (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Gianna is

Gianna is a purpose-specific personal assistant for Catholic households. It captures tasks in natural language, remembers details about your household, sends a morning message and a weekly review, surfaces the day's liturgical feast, and answers questions about Catholic practice and doctrine. Gianna is not a general-purpose chatbot and is not intended to be used as one.

Gianna is a software tool, not a person, a priest, a spiritual director, or a professional adviser. Liturgical, doctrinal, and devotional content is offered in good faith for your convenience and is not a substitute for the guidance of your parish, your pastor, or the official texts of the Church. For matters of conscience, confession, or sacramental discipline, consult a priest.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Gianna you confirm that you meet these requirements. The Service is intended for personal, household use, not for commercial resale.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information at sign-up and onboarding, and keep it current. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

When you connect Gianna over Telegram, your chat id identifies your household. Keep that number under your control; anyone who can send messages from it can act as you within the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

5. Subscription, trial, and billing

Gianna is offered on a subscription basis per household, on the plan you choose: Standard at $10/month or $80/year or Pro at $20/month or $160/year (a limited Free plan is also available). You choose monthly or annual billing at sign-up and can switch in Settings. The price shown at checkout is the price charged. New households receive a fully-featured 7-day trial; a payment card is taken at sign-up. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically and your card is charged. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually, depending on the cadence you chose — until cancelled.

Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers ourselves. If a renewal payment fails, your household may lapse and the full product will be gated; your data is preserved and you can reactivate by restoring a valid payment method.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals at the end of the period already paid for; everything you created stays available to view, and you can return whenever you like.

Refunds and the right of withdrawal. If something isn't right, email us within 14 days of any charge and we will refund it — no questions, no forms. For consumers in the EU/UK this satisfies (and in most cases exceeds) the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services; by starting the trial you ask us to begin the Service immediately, and our refund promise stands in place of the formal withdrawal procedure.

6. Availability and changes

Gianna is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend the Service for maintenance. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Some features depend on third parties (Telegram, LLM providers, and others). We are not responsible for outages or changes in those services.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you provide — tasks, household details, and messages. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. To deliver replies and the assistant's features, your messages may be sent to a third-party large-language-model provider for processing.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gianna is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Liturgical calendars, readings, and doctrinal answers may contain errors or omissions; verify anything you rely on against authoritative Church sources.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Gianna and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the licence in section 7 ends and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Contact
