If you attend the Traditional Latin Mass, the general Church calendar on your phone shows the wrong feasts. Gianna publishes the 1962 Roman calendar as a free subscription for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.
Add the 1962 calendar
- Add to Google Calendar
- Add to Apple Calendar
- Add to Outlook
- Address:
https://gianna.chat/liturgy/v1/calendars/traditional/feasts.ics
It is free and needs no account. Add ?lang=la for Latin feast names, or
?rank=all to include every rank of feast. The Dominican calendar of 1962 is also
available on the calendar page.
How the days are worked out
Each day is resolved by the 1962 rubrics: the seasonal cycle and the fixed feasts are compared by rank, and the winner decides the office. Commemorations are kept. The same calendar drives Gianna's chat answers and its Liturgy API.
More in Gianna
With a Gianna account you can also ask for:
- the day's Mass propers and readings in the 1962 Missal;
- the hours of the traditional Divine Office;
- the Roman Martyrology for the day;
- a morning note that follows the 1962 calendar.
Set it once: "Switch our calendar to the 1962 calendar." Gianna then uses it for feasts, reminders, and the morning note.
